IGP: Cops investigating clip showing Turkish man's abduction in Damansara Heights

SHAH ALAM: Police are investigating a video clip which purportedly shows a Turkish man being abducted by several individuals in Damansara Heights.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said police are in the process of contacting the man's wife as part of their investigation.

"If the (alleged abduction) is true, I hope the family does not 'hebohkan' (talk about it). If it is really an abduction, I hope the media would cooperate by not publicising it," he said.

Khalid added that the classification of the case has not been determined as they are still waiting for a report.

Meanwhile, on a separate case, Khalid said officers have been deployed to Thailand to quiz to two Malaysian men who were arrested by Thai authorities under suspicion of being drug lords of an international syndicate.

"The duo will have to face Thai laws. Our officers have been tasked with getting more information from them on the involvement of other Malaysians. We will act on them soon," said Khalid.
