IKEA recalls two chocolate bars due to ‘insufficient’ information on packaging

IKEA has issued a recall on the Choklad Mork 60% and Choklad Mork 70% dark chocolate bars. The product packaging on the bars had not sufficiently declared the presence of milk and hazelnuts in the ingredients.

The furniture retail company urged customers with allergies to milk or hazelnuts to refrain from consuming the chocolate. “Persons allergic to milk or hazelnut may experience an allergic reaction if eating the product,” IKEA said in a statement on Monday (27 June). “The product is safe to eat for anyone not allergic to milk or hazelnuts,” it added.

Ikea has removed affected products from its shelves.

Customers who purchased the chocolate bars can return the affected products and get a refund at any IKEA store. No proof of purchase is required for a refund.
