SINGAPORE – All travellers entering Singapore who have a travel history in the past 21 days to Vietnam will be required to serve a 21-day Stay-Home Notice (SHN), at dedicated SHN facilities, with immediate effect.

In a press release on Thursday (13 May) night, the Ministry of Health (MOH) said that this is because there has been a recent increase in cases reported by Vietnam.

Travellers were previously required to serve a 21-day SHN: a 14-day SHN at dedicated SHN facilities and an additional even days at a place of residence or self-sourced accommodation.

Travellers serving 21-day SHN will undergo COVID-19 Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) tests on-arrival, on Day 14 of their SHN, and before the end of their 21-day SHN period.

Deadline of 11.59pm on 15 May for those currently serving 14-day SHN

With the current requirement, travellers who have not completed their 14-day SHN at dedicated SHN facilities by 11.59pm on 15 May will be required to serve the additional seven days at their current dedicated SHN facility. These travellers will be contacted regarding the additional costs to be paid.

Travellers who are currently serving their SHN at a place of residence or self-sourced accommodation will be required to complete their 21-day SHN at their current location to minimise movement and risk of transmission.

On Thursday, Singapore reported 34 new COVID-19 cases, with 24 community cases and 10 imported ones.
