IN PHOTOS: Malaysia's border lockdown – before and after

SINGAPORE — Malaysia’s border lockdown on Wednesday (18 March) saw people scrambling get across the Causeway before new travel restrictions were imposed.

Yahoo News Singapore has compiled a selection of photos showing the situation at the Causeway and Singapore’s Woodlands Checkpoint on the night before the lockdown and in the hours after it went into effect.

The lockdown, which will last till 31 March, was imposed by the Malaysian government as part of its effort to combat the spread of COVID-19 within the country. Read more about the new restrictions (link here).
