Indonesian woman found dead at Geylang hotel, Bangladeshi man to be charged for murder

A 29-year-old man has been arrested over the death of a 34-year-old woman, who was found dead at a Geylang hotel on Sunday (30 December) night.

Police said they received a call for assistance at 10.45pm and the victim was found lying motionless inside a hotel room. She was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

Yahoo News Singapore understands that the victim was found in bed with injuries on her neck and hands.

Suspect, victim knew each other

Both the victim and the suspect are known to each another, said the police, adding that the suspect was arrested within 14 hours of the report being lodged. He will be charged with murder on Wednesday.
