From Town & Country

Each week seems to welcome a new attraction at the Miami Design District, whether it is the unveiling of a façade for its riotous parking garage or a new high-fashion flagship (Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Louis Vuitton, Prada, and Céline are just a few of the tenants). Plus, this past December the Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami opened alongside the De La Cruz Collection and the Rubell Family Collection, adding more than a little fine art to the mix.

Developer Craig Robbins (who also founded Design Miami/, natch) is intent on making the Design District a shopping hub to rival Bal Harbour, drawing in famous architects and artists to realize his dream of a year-round design destination. Don’t know where to begin? T&C asked Robbins to share some of his Design District recommendations-you’ll be sipping, shopping, and snapping selfies like a local in no time.
