SAN FRANCISCO (AP) _ Invitae Corp. (NVTA) on Monday reported a loss of $24.8 million in its fourth quarter.
On a per-share basis, the San Francisco-based company said it had a loss of 69 cents.
The results met Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was also for a loss of 69 cents per share.
The genetic testing company posted revenue of $9.2 million in the period, exceeding Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $9.1 million.
For the year, the company reported that its loss widened to $100.3 million, or $3.02 per share. Revenue was reported as $25 million.
Invitae expects full-year revenue in the range of $55 million to $65 million.
Invitae shares have risen 15 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $9.16, a rise of 40 percent in the last 12 months.
