Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to arrive in Singapore on 19 February, despite ongoing police investigations into allegations of bribery and fraud, according to the Jerusalem Post.

Quoting an Australian official, the Israeli newspaper said that Netanyahu, 67, will be in Singapore for two days before leaving for Australia.

Last October, Netanyahu told his cabinet that he was planning to visit Singapore, Australia, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan. If confirmed, he would be the first sitting Israeli PM to visit Singapore .

In April 2016, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong visited Israel as part of a week-long Middle East visit. He met with Netanyahu and also visited the Palestinian Territories.
