Italian chef demonstrates classic pasta dish on 'Carbonara Day'

Chef Luciano Monosilio, the self-proclaimed "King of carbonara", demonstrates how to cook the much-misunderstood pasta dish on "Carbonara Day", an annual celebration of one of Italy's classic recipes. The online marathon of carbonara-themed events organised by Italy's pasta-makers association on 6 April seeks to spread the message to budding carbonara-makers to "keep it simple" and not "betray the tradition".
