Italy rubber-stamp Spain, Germany friendly dates

Italy travel to France this summer looking for big improvements after limping out of the 2014 World Cup at the first round for the second successive edition

Italy have rubber-stamped two friendly dates with Spain and Germany later this month as preparations continue ahead of this summer's Euro 2016. The Italian football federation (FIGC) confirmed Italy will host former world and current European champions Spain in Udine on March 24. Five days later, on March 29, the Azzurri -- beaten 4-0 by Spain in the final of Euro 2012 -- will face world champions Germany at the Allianz Arena in Munich, according to a FIGC statement. The Italy squad will convene at their Coverciano training complex near Florence on Monday March 20, two days after coach Antonio Conte unveils his squad for the friendly fixtures. Italy will travel to France this summer hoping to at least improve on their performance at the 2014 World Cup. In Brazil, the Azzurri beat England but lost to both Costa Rica and Uruguay to see their hopes end in the group stages for the second successive edition.
