ITV responds to Survival of the Fittest star Tia Latham's claim that it 'ripped her life apart'

ITV has responded to Survival of the Fittest star Tia Latham's claim that she was "neglected" by the broadcaster.
The Times reports that the reality star recently attempted to take her own life after appearing on the Love Island sister series in February 2018.
She said that she's experienced mental health issues following the show.
The publication quotes Tia as saying: "Don't keep doing this to people because you are messing with people's lives. You are causing people to have mental issues.
"Stop trying to do this for ratings and money. You can still have great shows without all this drama."
She went on to claim to The Sun that ITV had "ripped [her] life apart".
ITV has since issued a statement, which reads: "ITV have maintained contact with Tia since her appearance on Survival of the Fittest.
"Following press reports last year about an attack she was subjected to, ITV contacted her and offered support.
"As Tia has confirmed, she has been provided with support, which is ongoing. We were very sorry to hear about her mental health difficulties over Christmas, we remain in contact with her and we will continue to offer support."
