ITV has unveiled its winter drama line-up, which includes must-see series starring Vicky McClure, Sheridan Smith, Martin Compston and Joe Cole.

The broadcaster has a strong drama offering for the new season, including a new adaptation of 60s Cold War thriller The Ipcress File starring Peaky Blinders' Joe Cole alongside Lucy Boynton.

And the slick-looking period drama isn't the only must-watch series coming up, as ITV have also been trailing Triggerpoint, an edge-of-your-seat thriller produced by Line Of Duty creator Jed Mercurio.

Triggerpoint also features Line Of Duty star Vicky McClure who's back in a police role - this time as part of a London bomb disposal squad with Adrian Lester, which looks full of incredibly tense moments and pacy dialogue.

Pulling on the heartstrings is No Return, a series starring ITV favourite Sheridan Smith as a mother plunged into a nightmare when her family holiday to Turkey goes horribly wrong.

Her character's teenage son is accused of a sexual assault that he insists he was not involved in and is thrown into jail as she desperately battles for his freedom.

ITV viewers can also look forward to a creeping thriller, Our House, adapted from the Louise Candlish novel.

Starring Tuppence Middleton who comes home one day to find a couple moving into her house which she didn't even know was for sale, it delves into the complex relationship with her character's ex-husband played by Martin Compston, and new partner played by Rupert Penry Jones.
