J.Lo Says the "Blessing" of Quarantine Has Been Spending More Time with A-Rod and Family
Jennifer Lopez calls the extra time she's been able to spend with her family during quarantine a blessing.
In an interview with People magazine, the Hustlers actress shared that before the start of the coronavirus pandemic, nightly family dinners were few and quality time was far between due to her and fiancé Alex Rodriguez's busy work schedules.
"Because Alex and I have both separately and now together lived a gypsy-type life, as both of our careers require tons of travel. The blessing of the quarantine for us was having dinner with the kids every night, for months and months," Lopez told the outlet. "That's been a huge blessing for us during this time."

The actress and singer added that if it weren't for the entire world pausing in order to slow the spread of the novel virus, she wasn't sure if quality time could have been prioritized daily.
"I don't think that would've ever happened, and probably reminded us how much we need to do that more," she said.
Spending the weeks at home doesn't mean Lopez and her family haven't been productive, however. In addition to Lopez releasing new music in conjunction with Maluma and her forthcoming rom-com, Marry Me, the pop star's 12-year-old daughter, Emme Muñiz, took the downtime to publish her first book, Lord Help Me. Released just yesterday, the new children's read was inspired by Muñiz's love of sloths and her practicing of prayer, and has been printed and released in both English and Spanish.
"[Emme] just kind of had this conversation, and she was like, 'Maybe we can write a book where we can save the sloths, and we can use the money to save the sloths,'" said Lopez during an appearance on Good Morning America with her daughter. "I'm so proud of her to author her first book at 12 years old. She's way, way ahead of me."
