Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith are enjoying some much-needed downtime less than a week after she admitted to dating R&B singer August Alsina. Page Six reports that the couple and their daughter Willow are vacationing at an exclusive resort in the Bahamas. Per the outlet, the Smiths are staying at the Albany, a members-only spot that is part-owned by Tiger Woods.

It's the first time the husband and wife have been spotted since confirming Pinkett Smith's relationship with Alsina during a brief split in their marriage. They addressed the rumors and opened up about their separation on a recent episode of Red Table Talk. The couple's sit-down followed Alsina's explosive interview with The Breakfast Club's Angela Yee, where he revealed their romance. Pinkett Smith admitted to dating Alsina, but clarified that the relationship took place during a separation between her and her husband.

"It was about four and half, four years ago that I started a friendship with August and we actually became really, really good friends," Pinkett Smith stated. "And it all started with him just needing some help. Me wanting to help his health, his mental state. From there you and I were going through a difficult time. We basically...we broke up," she stated, acknowledging Smith as he sat across from her at the table.

Pinkett Smith added that her husband had never granted she and Alsina "permission" to date, something that had been previously reported. "One thing I want clean up that was swirling about in the press is about you giving permission...the only person that can give permission in that particular circumstance is myself," the actress explained. "But what August was probably trying to communicate—because I could actually see how he could have perceived it as permission because we were separated amicably—and I also think he wanted to make it clear he was not a home wrecker, which he's not."

The couple, who has been married since 1997, said that the time apart and Pinkett Smith's relationship with Alsina allowed them to move forward in their marriage. "Through that particular journey I learned so much about myself and was able to really confront a lot of emotional immaturity, emotional insecurity, and I was really able to do some really deep healing," Pinkett Smith declared.

Apparently, the Smiths' candor paid off. Deadline reported that last Friday's episode focused on addressing the Alsina rumors garnered more than 15 million views in 24 hours. It set a record for the most watched Facebook Watch episode, breaking a record previously set by Pinkett Smith's Red Table Talk with Jordyn Woods.
