Jade Thirlwall sells her Little Mix bandmates Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock are getting very little sleep since they both became mums.

Edwards and Pinnock welcomed their first children within days of each other in August and have since been on maternity leave from their music careers.

Pinnock had twins with QPR striker Andre Gray, while Edwards had a son, named Axel, with Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

"They have been saying that they just don't know sleep any more, they don't know sleep exists now — it's just gone," Thirlwall told Dublin radio station FM104.

Thirlwall confessed she has struggled to decide what gifts to buy her friends in order to mark their new arrivals, nothing that "everyone gets them their clothes and all the same stuff".

She said it was Ed Sheeran who helped her come up with the perfect present, after a discussion they had over drinks in the wake of the Euro 2020 competition.

"He was telling me that when he had his baby, everyone always forgets about the mum and that they might need something too," said Thirlwall.

"I was like 'that's really good advice'. I think I'm going to get the girls something like an in-house spa day so they get a treat."

Little Mix are set to release their first greatest hits album — entitled Between Us — in November, combining 18 of their existing hits with five new songs.

The first single from the album, Love (Sweet Love), was released earlier this month along with a music video which was shot during Pinnock and Edwards's pregnancies.

It's the first new song the band has released as a trio, following Jesy Nelson's departure from the group in December 2020.

Between Us, featuring hits like Wings and Black Magic, is due to be released on 12 November.
