Marcus Rashford has been leading Manchester United's charm offensive to bring Jadon Sancho to Old Trafford - and he will have another chance tonight.

Standard Sport understands that Sancho is United's top transfer priority, and Borussia Dortmund's £120million asking price has not put the Red Devils off signing the England forward.

Rashford and Sancho are friends at international level, and the United star has been playing a major role in ensuring United edge out Chelsea for the 20-year-old's services.

Dortmund chiefs are understood to view United as favourites to land Sancho ahead of Frank Lampard's Chelsea. While the footballing world has ground to a halt, Rashford is working flat out online to get Sancho to Manchester.

Rashford wished Sancho happy birthday on Instagram recently, to which Tammy Abraham jokingly told the United man to stay away from the BVB star.

Rashford followed that up with an Instagram Live Q&A session with Bleacher Report, declaring he'd love to Sancho and Anthony Martial: "It would be good, Sancho's a great player, he's sort of like the new-generation player.

“It's definitely exciting to watch him becoming the player that he's becoming, so credit to him. Hopefully we can all play together and that can be good."

And now, while football remains on lockdown, England have organised a virtual Fifa 20 tournament between members of the men's and women's team... and guess who are playing together?

Yep, that's right - Rashford and Sancho will be facing off in the #FootballIsStayingHome Cup in support of the National Emergencies Trust on Friday afternoon.

The England pair will play at 5pm BST, and you can watch their virtual meeting on England's YouTube and Twitter channels.

Sancho seems pleased to be playing Rashford, tweeting: "Let’s goooo @MarcusRashford" - to which Rashford replied with a fist emoji and a heart; that suggests he'll take the win before Sancho signs for United...
