Jake Gyllenhaal, Carey Mulligan headline 'Wildlife'

When production starts on Richard Ford adaptation "Wildlife" this November, award-winning actors Jake Gyllenhaal and Carey Mulligan will be in front of camera.

Richard Ford's 1990 novel "Wildlife" is told from the perspective of a teenage son, Joe, observing events unfold as his parents deal with professional and personal difficulties in 1960s Montana, USA.

For Ford, the novel's emergence came on the cusp of major literary recognition. For Paul Dano of "There Will Be Blood" and "Love & Mercy," it will mark his debut as a feature film director.

Jake Gyllenhaal is well known for career breakthrough "Donnie Darko" and more recently for "Nightcrawler."

He starred in "Prisoners," on which Dano was also a cast member.

Carey Mulligan has been well praised for her performances in "Suffragette," "An Education," "Drive," "Shame" and "The Great Gatsby."
