PUTRAJAYA: Sungai Besar UMNO Division Chief Datuk Seri Jamal Yunos has raised RM20,000 for Datuk Adam Rosly Abdullah and offered legal assistance for the embattled Ampang PKR Youth chief.
“Adam is a young man who has fallen victim to the bad politicians in PKR,” Jamal told reporters this at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) office after he lodged another report, this time against Ampang MP, Zuraida Kamaruddin.
“I feel sorry for him. After he was detained by MACC, YB Zuraida has denied that Adam was her special officer. She’s a bad boss who has deserted her staff.”
Adam Rosly found himself in the centre of a controversy over the legitimacy of his wealth, following revelations that he owned a ‘castle-like’ house, estimated to be around RM1mil and luxury cars despite his young age.
The 28-year-old businessman, who has been remanded for five days since April 14, was ordered by the magistrate court to serve an additional four-day remand extension beginning tomorrow.
Adam Rosly is being investigated under Section 4(1) of the Anti-Money-Laundering and Anti-Terrorism Financing Act (AMLATFA) 2001.
On Zuraida, Jamal claimed that he has new evidence against the PKR Women Chief.
“I have submitted the evidence to MACC and urged them to investigate YB Zuraida,” Jamal said, adding that he has been checking on her since November last year.
The outspoken Red Shirt leader also claimed that Selangor Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Azmin Ali have been abusing his powers as well and threatened to out him soon.
“I’m taking the media on a jungle trip next week to expose a plot of land that has been sold by Datuk Seri Azmin to a private company for RM30mil.”
