Japan is getting a couple limited edition PS4s, and I’m jealous
The PlayStation 4 (PS4) hasn’t even been released in Japan and already there have been a couple of announcements about limited edition consoles.
The first was announced yesterday by Konami, who plans to make a Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes-themed PS4. This limited edition console will feature the Fox emblem on a glossy finish. Nothing fancy, but enough for fanboys to drool over. The console will be sold as a bundle containing Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes on March 20, 2014 for roughly $470.
The second limited edition PS4 was announced today by Sega and will be called the Yakuza Ishin. Sega has also opted for a more simplistic look that will feature Yakuza 4’s Ishin holding both a sword and a gun. Unlike the Metal Gear Solid V edition, Yakuza Ishin will not be sold in stores. In fact, only 100 of them will be made and given to lucky fans in Japan.
