Japanese student raped in Baguio City

BAGUIO CITY – A 21 year-old Japanese student was reportedly raped by a taxi driver inside a popular (motel) along Marcos Highway in Bakakeng, Baguio City dawn Sunday (May 29).

The alleged sexual assault came just a few days after a house help stabbed a 15 year old girl 13 times inside the latter family’s house in Pinsao proper, also in this city.

Baguio police said the alleged rape incident which occurred at around 5:20AM Sunday was only reported to investigators at Police Station 10 more than 11 hours after.

Supt. Cherry Fajardo, spokesperson of the Cordillera police offered no more further details of the incident while probers are into further piecing out details, she said.

The incident has reportedly sent shivers among the Japanese community in the city including foreign students who come in large numbers especially Koreans taking English language courses.
