Jarrod Bowen has hailed West Ham’s display in the 4-0 win against Wolves as “perfect”.

The Hammers had too much for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side with Bowen grabbing a brace for their first victory of the season.

"It was the perfect performance for us, and something we needed after the first two games," he explained.

"The work rate off the ball by the lads, and being so hard to beat stood out for me tonight. Keeping the clean sheet was vital and the fact we scored four goals was big for us too.

"I prefer to come in on my left foot," he added. "I saw the gap and thankfully it went in the far corner, so I was buzzing about it.

"Probably the only disappointment was that I didn't get a hat-trick! I just misread the ball and it came off their player's knee, but I was buzzing to get the two goals."

Nuno challenged his players to bounce back when they face Fulham next week.

It was just the second time Wolves had conceded four goals in a Premier League game under Nuno and the first time they had lost by a four-goal margin.

"We played very, very bad. We made mistakes. From the beginning, we were defensively very bad. Lack of concentration, anxiety and mistakes. No organisation, something we have to look at and improve," Nuno, 46, said.

"We have to go and work harder to find a solution. The players must bounce back and react to it."

Wolves have lost three straight games in all competitions but Nuno is confident his side can find a solution to their recent woes.

"It's about improving what we want to do. The solution is inside and that's what we have to work on. It's about improving the players," he added.
