Jason Statham's shark movie 'Meg' given a release date
A release date has been revealed for Jason Statham's upcoming sci-fi shark movie "Meg."
The Warner Bros. movie based loosely on the tale of "Moby Dick" will hit cinemas on March 2, 2018, Deadline reports.
Adapted from the novel of the same name by Steve Alten, "Meg" will see Statham play the role of Jonas Taylor, an ex-military diver whose team was obliterated by a Megalodon, a 60 foot-long shark believed to be extinct. As the sole survivor of the attack, Taylor gets a chance at redemption when he accompanies a scientific mission to track down the animal.
Fan Bingbing will play alongside Statham, with Jon Turtletaub directing.
