Jaya is a Kapamilya again
22 Jul - Singer-actress Jaya has officially returned to her former network, ABS-CBN, Coconuts Manila reported.
After much speculation that sparked after her surprising appearance on "It's Showtime" last weekend, Jaya revealed that she is now a Kapamilya again.
"I have to say that this is God's doing. I had a 20-year period of change, but now I'm back to where I've been," she said during an interview on "Tonight with Boy Abunda".
Jaya, who started with the aforementioned network and was part of the Sunday variety show, "ASAP", moved to GMA back in 2000.
When asked why she made her comeback, Jaya said that she was not doing it for selfish reasons, but that God had brought her back and she has to abide by it.
The singer, however, stressed that she will always be thankful for her time with GMA, especially since the network has given her the opportunity to grow as an artiste.
"Like any child, sometimes you have to grow up and you want to break free from something you're so used to doing and fly. And for me, flying now and doing this with ABS-CBN is something I know God has planned for me," she added.
Jaya is currently one of the judges of "It's Showtime's" "Tawag ng Tanghalan" segment. She is also planning to return to her former show, "ASAP".
