Jeff Lynne's ELO names new Wembley gig

Jeff Lynne's ELO and Ed Sheeran perform on stage at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards

Jeff Lynne's ELO is set to play Wembley Stadium in 2017 after announcing a new live date.

The band will take to the famous stage on June 24, 2017, NME reports. Tickets are set to go on sale on July 1.

The British group rounded off their recent tour with a high-profile performance at Glastonbury Festival this weekend as part of the event's famous ‘legends' slot.

ELO, which saw 27 Top 40 hits between 1972 and 1986, was renamed ‘Jeff Lynne's ELO' following legal issues between its sole constant member Jeff Lynne and his former bandmates.
