Updated article 10/03/20: Jennifer Garner has opened up about being hounded by pregnancy rumours.

Appearing on the Happy Mum, Happy Baby podcast with Giovanna Fletcher, the Yes Day actor spoke about why she's decided on several occasions to address unwarranted pregnancy rumours and speculation.

In 2014, the star appeared on the Ellen Show where she confirmed she 'has a baby bump' before clarifying to the roaring crowd: 'Hold up, I am not pregnant. I have had three kids and there is a bump.'

She then joked that she will not have another child but will have a baby bump 'forever and ever... like a camel, but in reverse.'

Reflecting on the decision to be so candid about her body and respond to people questioning if she was pregnant, Garner told Fletcher: 'There are some incredible women whose bodies just, no matter how many babies they have they bounce right back to that slim-hipped, no stomach – I mean it’s incredible, I have so many girlfriends who have that physique and I’m so happy for them. I am not one of them, that is not my gig. I am not one of them, I can work really hard and I can be really fit and I will still look like a woman whose had three babies and I always will. So I just thought I might as well address it and Ellen was so sweet to let me. But I just felt like we might as well?'

Garner then explained how the constant speculation is 'still happening'.

'I mean every week, is she? Is she pregnant? Is she? It’s still happening, I’m 48 and I’m single. And it’s still happening so you might as well take that bull by the horns.'

The actor co-parents her children – Samuel, 8, Seraphina 11, and Violet 14, with her ex-husband Ben Affleck.

'It's just a body,' Garner continued. 'It's carried you this far, it carried babies for you. What else do you want? Just be thankful, my goodness.'

We completely agree, Jennifer. But also, let's hope people mind their own business and stop questioning the state of women's bodies.

Updated article published on 27/10/20: Jennifer Garner has yet again responded to pregnancy speculation after one fan incorrectly believed she’d recently shared a ‘pregnancy announcement’ on Instagram.

On Sunday, the mother-of-three shared a photograph of herself showing off her new pumpkin carving, which features a small jack-o'-lantern inside a larger pumpkin.

‘When you and your jack-o’-lantern share a vibe…’ Garner captioned the sweet snap, which sees her sat cross-legged on the floor holding her house-inspired pumpkin carving.

‘I thought this was a pregnancy announcement for a hot second,’ one Instagram follower commented on the photo, with hundreds of others seemingly assuming the same.

‘STILL NOT HAVING MORE BABIES, [sic]’ the 48-year-old replied to the original comment, which has since been 'liked' more than 6,500 times. ‘Good grief, I didn’t even see it, i just saw matching smiles. [sic]’

Garner’s comment comes weeks after she confirmed to a fan on social media that she is not pregnancy and ‘and never will be’ again.

Original article published on 11/09/20: It's 2020, yet still we find ourselves in a situation where, from behind a computer screen, people feel it's appropriate to ask women highly personal and invasive questions about their bodies and reproductive systems.

Case in point: Jennifer Garner.

The Dallas Buyers Club actress shared a video to her Instagram account of herself wearing countryside-appropriate dungarees to show her followers her family farm and their cows.

But among the many adoring comments, including from Garner's friends like Reese Witherspoon and Natalie Portman, one commenter wrote: 'Are you pregnant?'

Garner became aware of the comment and chose to respond, clarifying that no she is not, and she will not be pregnant at any point.

'I am 48, have three healthy kids and am not - and never will be - pregnant. We can lay that pupper to rest' the star wrote.

Garner continued, attributing any potential change in her body (not that she needed to explain anything) to the Coronavirus lockdown, writing: 'Have a [sic] gained the Covid 19? Possibly. But that is another story,' alongside various wine, pizza, taco and donut emojis, showing her sense of humour.

Garner is mother to three children Violet, Seraphina and Samuel from her decade-long marriage to Ben Affleck. Despite their 2015 separation and subsequent divorce, the former spouses remain cordial and are regularly seen on outings with their children together.

The Juno actress has reportedly recently broken up with her boyfriend CEO John Miller, while Affleck is in a relationship with No Time To Die actress Ana de Armas.

Earlier this year, Affleck gave a revealing interview to the New York Times labelling his divorce from Garner the 'biggest regret of my life'.
