Jennifer Lopez just put a sleek twist on the Tinkerbell topknot hairstyle
JLo is no stranger to a bun. Dang she looks good with all her hair pulled back — not even a hint of egg (some people really have it all). But this sleek bun in particular, comes with a twist... literally.
Jennifer's bun is twisted into a three tiered delight, giving it length over width for a unique finish. We've been trying to figure out the construction of the sculptural Tinkerbell topknot but have come to the conclusion it involved some degree of magic. Faith, trust and a little bit of pixie dust, if you will.
Though the caption actually informs us that it wasn't pixie dust that stylist Andrew Fitzsimons used on the singers sleek 'do, but in fact a combination of his PRISM Shine Softening Crème, HARD Hairspray and PRISM Shine Spray.
And luckily for us, Andrew's HARD Strong Hold Hairspray for Maximum Control, is only £9 at Boots. While the Prism Shine Hair Spray Smoothing Mist comes in at £11. Not bad if it's going to make my bun half as slicked as Jlo's.
Worn with a bright red lip, wool jacket, baggy pants and stilletto boots, the icon's fierce top-to-toe monochrome scarlet look shows the style's not just for pixies and ballerinas. And we couldn't not mention that totally in your face monogrammed bag. I'd hunt for one myself but sadly my initials just look like a maths equation (EMC).
From Megan Fox to Millie Bobby Brown to Nicola Coughlin, the Tinkerbell topknot has been a real 2022 go-to, but what can we say, it's a classic. However you twist it.
