Jeremy Clarkson has got a taste for being a pub landlord with The Farmer's Dog, so what has he got planned next?

Clarkson has had great success with opening The Farmer's Dog in the Cotswolds, with many travelling from all over the country to have a pint or something to eat, after the Grand Tour presenter bought the plan for just under £1m. It's so popular Clarkson fans have complained they can't get booked for the Christmas menu.

We know the pub is set to feature on Prime Video series Clarkson's Farm after camera crew have been spotted on site filming.

Now it looks like he's planning on expanding his business in a number of different ways including: merchandise, pub tours and beer festivals, as well as the possibility of more pubs. The pub landlord has trademarked the commercial name Hawkstone Filling Station to distinguish his goods and services with the Intellectual Property Office in the UK.

The trademark has been filed against: "Services for providing food and drink; temporary accommodation; bar services; bars; pubs; public house services; hospitality services; information, advisory and consultancy services in relation to all of the aforesaid."

On The Farmer's Dog website, it described itself as: "The Farmer’s Dog is the first Hawkstone filling station." It only sells Hawkstone — including Premium Lager, Session Lager, IPA and Pilsner which are available on tap at the pub. Clarkson makes his Hawkstone lager by using ingredients grown on Diddly Squat Farm.

The Daily Star said Clarkson was setting his sights on more pubs, reporting: "Jeremy is hungry for success in the pub world and he’s planning a few more boozers up and down the country. And some of his circle have been calling him Jeremy Wetherspoon and Jezzaspoon."

Recently fellow pub landlord and his close friend James May said Clarkson's pub was "losing quite a bit of money". He told Yahoo: "I haven't talked to him about it recently but I got the impression that he was having quite a bit of trouble and losing quite a bit of money, which is how it tends to go, certainly to begin with."

The presenter, who owns The Royal Oak in Swallowcliffe, added: "But he does have an advantage. He's got a big pub and a big car park, we're very strangled on our car park, and obviously he's a very popular bloke and people are very interested to go and try his pub, so if he can't make it work he's a bit of a f***wit really."

It looks like pub tours as well as beer and food festivals could also in the pipeline for Clarkson's pub venture, according to the papers.

The trademark papers were also filed against: "Education and training; entertainment; organising and hosting events for entertainment purposes; organising and hosting beer festivals; organising and hosting food festivals; organisation of competitions; operating pub tours; information, advisory and consultancy services in relation to all of the aforesaid."

Previously, West Oxfordshire District Council councillor Liam Walker told Yahoo that Clarkson and his team were looking into operating tours in the Cotswolds. The councillor explained the tour could include a trip to the Diddly Squat Farm shop, between Chipping Norton and Chadlington, and Clarkson's pub The Farmer's Dog, in Asthall, near Burford as well as The Hawkstone Brewery, near Bourton on the Water.

Walker is the Conservative County Councillor for the Hanborough and Minster Lovell Division, as well as the West Oxfordshire District Council councillor for the Hailey, Minster Lovell and Leafield ward.

"I think Jeremy's team are planning to do in the future tours," Walker previously told Yahoo. "So they'll go to the farm shop and then go down to the pub and then his brewery by Bourton on the Water, so that it will be almost like a triangle of the Cotswolds which is great. It's a huge boost of tourism, particularly in West Oxfordshire."

When it comes to events so far, Clarkson has hosted a Q&A at the screening of the last episode of The Grand Tour at The Farmer's Dog.

Additionally it looks like Clarkson plans to expand his business with the sales of merchandise relating to the pub. The trademark covers clothing, footwear, headgear and aprons as well as bottle openers, household linen, tea towels, bar towels, beer mats, kegs, beer dispensing machines, food, crisps, nuts, savoury snacks.

This is no surprise as Clarkson has already got a home wear range for Diddly Squat Farm Shop that is available to buy through Amazon. The farmer sells everything from chopping boards, to aprons, to mugs as well as clothes and hats with the Diddly Squat Farm shop logo on it.
