Jessica Hsuan worries about sprained ankle

16 Dec – Jessica Hsuan wants people to use her foot injury as a lesson - don't ever play with your phone at night.

As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who sprained her left ankle recently, shared that the situation actually happened when she missed a step going down the stairs while busy focusing on her phone one night.

"I heard a loud crack, as if the bone split. I have seen people sprained their ankle, but I had never actually experienced it myself," she said.

Luckily, said Jessica, a passerby approached her upon hearing the loud crack, and helped her cross the street to get to a bonesetter.

"The bonesetter told me that I would need five to six months to recover, but I couldn't just rest. I needed to travel frequently, so the swelling never went down," she said.

However, the actress said that there were no broken bones found following a trip to the hospital.

Aside from the frequent travelling, Jessica admitted that she is worried that the injury won't heal before next month - when she will begin filming her new movie with Louis Koo, "Back to the Past".

"Fortunately, the crew is willing to accommodate me. So we are going to shoot most of my simpler scenes first," she said.
