Jessica Mulroney is taking action against online bullying.

The “Good Morning America” correspondent and host of the upcoming Netflix series “I Do, Redo” took to Instagram to share the dark side of social media.

In a now-deleted post, Mulroney shared a screenshot she received from a female follower after uploading a photo of her hair and makeup while filming her new series in Jamaica.

“Pretty!” the unidentified woman wrote. “But you look super old in this pic - still beautiful though.”

“I get messages everyday like this. I’m not asking for pity because they don’t hurt me, but they hurt so many,” Mulroney captioned her post. “Social media is not going away. It is a business tool, it can be an incredible place to find strength, but it can be dark.”

The Toronto-based stylist went on to reveal to followers she was in the midst of “organizing a conference on how to handle social media as a positive platform.”

The topic hits particularly close to home for Mulroney. Her close friend Meghan Markle has been the target of severe bullying from both the media and social media users. The international attention paid to the Duchess has had a ripple effect on those in her inner circle, with online trolls hurling cruel comments to not only Mulroney, but to her children as well.

Mulroney, when faced with unnecessary hate, does not pull any punches in defending herself or those she loves.

In Aug. 2019, Mulroney hit back at online trolls after sharing a photo of herself on location wearing a bikini.

“I put a spotlight on trolls because I want people to really see the truth of what is happening on social media,” she tweeted. “We can’t let people get away with appalling behaviour. It should never be tolerated.”

Despite removing the post, it now looks as though Mulroney is ramping up to help make social media a safer place for users.

“I can’t wait to share it with you soon,” Mulroney continued. “Sending love to all those who carry the weight of bullies and let’s find a way to teach our children proper decorum. There is a light at the end of this tunnel.
