Joey Meng has left TVB
7 Jul - Former ATV actress Joey Meng has now left TVB as well.
As reported on Oriental Daily, the actress reportedly declined offers of contract renewal, and decided to leave the company instead last month.
It was revealed that Joey was still devastated after losing all of her six cats one by one while she was filming the comedy drama "Come On, Cousin" last year.
Although she continued working on the series, the actress has yet to overcome the sadness of her loss, and has decided to take a long break and travel to Europe instead.
When asked to respond to the reports, Joey's husband Chan Sap Sam confirmed the news, saying that Joey needed the break.
"It's a difficult time for her as all of our cats are gone. She doesn't feel very well, so she has stopped all work for now," he said.
However, Chan said that the two of them have decided not to adopt cats again, nor will they consider having a baby.
"I will go on a long holiday with her as soon as my work is completed," said Chan.
