Shops are slowly, but surely, stacking their shelves with festive decorations and sweet treats.

Seeing tins of chocolates begin to appear alongside the usual bars and boxes always makes us begin to feel festive.

While Quality Street chocolates are available in most stockists throughout the year, the iconic purple tin has once again been given an exclusive update this year for John Lewis & Partners.

The packaging boasts blasts of colour, which is a nod to the metallic wrapping that encases the chocolate.

While the exterior packaging may have changed, what’s inside the tin hasn’t.

Nestlé’s Quality Street Tin is filled with individually wrapped milk and dark chocolates, as well as fruit crémes and toffees.

The Purple One, filled with a whole hazelnut and caramel, as well as the Green Triangle and the Chocolate Toffee Finger are among the fan favourites.

Some of the chocolates contain nuts, so those who have allergies should read the “May contain” section in the ingredients list.

The Nestlé Quality Street Tin, weighing 1.2kg, costs £10.
