Johor fully recovers from floods

JOHOR BARU: The floods that struck the Segamat district had fully receded today when 10 victims from two families staying at a temporary flood evacuation centre (PPS) were allowed to return home.

The chairman of the State Health and Environment Committee Datuk Ayub Rahmat said the (PPS) at Sekolah Kebangsaan Kampung Spang Loi which accommodated all the victims from the affected areas was closed at 11.30am.

"They were all allowed to return home after the flood waters at their homes had receded fully, today," he said in a statement here.

Ayub said the Felda Redong-Felda Selancar road in Segamat, however, was still closed to all vehicles due to a landslide since March 3. - BERNAMA
