Jolin Tsai makes dubbing debut with "Zootopia"

4 Feb - Taiwanese pop diva Jolin Tsai will be making her debut in voice acting work through the Chinese dub for Disney's upcoming animated feature film, "Zootopia".

As reported on Epoch Times, the singer reportedly will be dubbing for the character of Officer Judy Hopps, a rabbit who is also a member of the Zootopia Police Department. The original voice work is by Hollywood actress Ginnifer Goodwin.

It is revealed that Jolin, who has already watched the trailer before, found the upcoming animation to be interesting and adored the character Judy Hopps, which she finds cute.

"We didn't expect that we would receive a call from a Disney rep inviting Jolin to do the voice acting work for the Chinese version," said the singer's manager.

Directed by Byron Howard, Rich Moore, and Jared Bush, "Zootopia", set in the mammal metropolis of the titular city, tells the story of a rabbit police officer who has to work with a fox con artist Nick Wilde to solve the case of a missing otter.

Aside from Goodwin, the animated movie also features the voice acting work of Jason Bateman, Shakira, Idris Elba, and J.K. Simmons.
