SINGAPORE — Jollibee, the popular fried chicken fast food chain from the Philippines, has announced that its latest restaurant in Singapore will open in Punggol’s Waterway Point mall this Thursday (18 July).

Similar to when its Woodlands outlet opened last month, Jollibee said in a Facebook post today (15 July) that the first 100 customers at the Punggol outlet would receive a free Jollibee pillow. The first five customers would receive a limited edition Jollibee Funko Pop vinyl toy on top of the pillow.

The day before Jollibee opened its outlet at Woodlands MRT station on 26 July, people queued overnight just to get their hands on the Jollibee swag.

Two more Jollibee restaurants to open soon in Singapore heartlands

The Punggol outlet will bring the total number of Jollibee restaurants in Singapore to eight. Besides the newest Woodlands outlet, there are currently two outlets in Lucky Plaza, and one each in Paya Lebar, Changi, Novena and Jurong East. Its first store in Singapore – located on the sixth floor of Lucky Plaza – was opened in March 2013.

In a 2017 interview, Dennis Flores, Jollibee’s president and head of international business, said that the Manila-based company would open at least 15 more outlets in Singapore “in the next five years”.
