Joshua Simon burst into the Singapore music scene with his hit covers in 2011 and has since done stints as a radio DJ with One FM and Kiss 92 as well as released his first single MURDA with Bounce Squad.

Now, his second single Paradise goes into more melancholic territory as he sings about the trials and tribulations of love (for wanting more, I gave up my all / for something as inconsequential as love).

Released on Apple Music and Spotify via Umami Records, the song was made together with electronica artist Evanturetime and Jon Chua from the band The Sam Willows.

Umami Records’ roster includes Singapore artistes such as Linying and The Steve McQueens. Simon wrote the lyrics to the single Paradise.

Paradise will be part of Simon’s upcoming album, reports Yahoo Singapore. Simon himself has also been releasing music on his own YouTube channel recently, with the track BॐBAY SAPPHIRE released last December:

Simon has also released what he calls an “official music video?” on his Facebook page that features a man taking off article by article of clothing as he sings the song:

We can’t wait to hear more from Simon! Give “Paradise” a spin on Spotify here.
