This small-scale propane grill from the name you know, Weber, still feeds an army. The 360-square inch surface is large enough to fit a dozen hamburgers at one time. What's not small? The 33% discount— saving you a whopping $200. This balcony favorite fits in tight spots but doesn't skimp on the barbie. Porcelain enamel-coated cast-iron grates allow for full flavor, while the propane-powered grill is outfitted for safety with a convenient drip pan that's simple to empty.

Says a happy wife, "I got this grill for my hub for Fathers Day! We’ve always had a big grill, & decided we had no reason to not 'go smaller!' This grill is more powerful than our old 5-burner grill! He (& I!) love it!"

22 in. Kamado Professional Ceramic Charcoal Grill in Chili Red with Grill Cover

Chili Red Vision Kamado Grill
You may say Ka-may-do, you may say Ka-mah-do. We say: Get one. (Photo: Vision Grills)

The beauty of the Kamado grill (aside from its, you know, beauty) is its ceramic coating both holds heat better than metal and allows more precise temperature calibration. All that heat retention means you can use this even in the dead of winter. Oh, and it works with gas or charcoal. We love the Chili Red variety (above), but it's also available in this price in Taupe and White.

In any event, we can color this guy impresed: "I’ve been using it for about three weeks now…everyday from grilling, searing, smoking… pizza, pineapple…you name it. I’ve been able to hold temperatures as low as 225° for about six hours, no problem. We had brisket two times, short ribs and they turned out AMAZING… It is by far the best grill/smoker i ever owned."

Traeger may well be the other name you know from the grill world. They know what they're doing; because of that, you will, too. This grill uses hardwood pellets and features a 572-square-inch grilling surface — enough for 28 burgers (works for me, but what are you guys gonna have?) It's made of steel with a powder coat finish, and how 'bout that retro-cool stovepipe? Keep the temp low and you've got an at-home smoker; kick it up and char away!

"This is hands-down the best smoker/grill you’ll ever find," said one carnivorous consumer. "I’ve had mine since 2010... and we use it weekly if not daily. We have smoked turkeys, ham, pork loins, pork chops, briskets, steaks, deer [and] elk on it, you name it.... It does the work for you, no need to be a master."

Ideal for camping and fishing trips, this is the outdoorsy person's grill. 361 square inches fits a dozen burgers, without any unnecessary bulk.

Says a fan, "Love this griddle... The added stand and lid are a great bonus. They are pretty expensive if bought separately. Unpacked, assembled, seasoned griddle, and was cooking fajitas in little over an hour. Griddle does get very hot, so great for searing meat. Clean-up is relatively simple. Breaks down and fits in my RV storage compartment perfectly."

Weber Q3200 Liquid Propane Grill

Weber Q series propane grill in white
You'll have a gas with your next cookout...in more ways than one. (Photo: Amazon)

We're closing out this survey with another Weber partly because, well, we just love the look of this. Of course, we can afford to be a bit shallow given this propane-fueled grill's performance. Its dual stainless steel burners produces 21,700 BTU-per-hour, enough to sear, sizzle or slow-roast just about any dang thing you want. Its cast-iron grates are enameled in porcelain to help equally distribute heat and prevent sticking. Nice bonus: a hood light that allows you to keep grilling well into the night.

One longtime fan's really taken a shine to this model: "I have had a charcoal Weber for over 30 years. This is my first gas Weber. I like the shape, doesn’t take up so much space like a boxy grill, perfect for a small porch, but able to cook for a large group. Easy to cook on and use. Weber is always the best."
