Justin Bieber announces stadium tour in US for 2017

After teasing the news on Twitter Sunday, Justin Bieber officially announced plans to embark on a US stadium tour during an appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Monday.

Bieber broke the news while on his 26th visit to the show. After playing more than 100 shows on the "Purpose Tour," the pop star revealed that another batch of tour dates are planned, this time for major stadiums across the US.

The only date announced so far is August 5, 2017 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California.

Tickets go on sale December 9.
