MANILA — Senator JV Ejercito has filed an urgent motion to travel before the Sandiganbayan.

Ejercito asked for 16 days to travel to France and Italy from March 28 to April 12 to accompany his mother, San Juan mayor, Guia Gomez.

Ejercito noted in his motion that he would like to visit overseas Filipino workers in France and Italy.

The senator is facing technical malversation charges at the Sandiganbayan in connection with the allegedly anomalous purchase in 2008 of high-powered firearms worth P2.1 million. — UNTV News and Rescue
