Police have confirmed the death of 25 year-old Sulli, (real name, Choi Jin-ri), a former member of k-pop group f(x), who left the band following online abuse. Police have not yet released any information surrounding cause of death.

After struggling to get in contact with her since a phone call the previous night, her manager went to look for her at her home in Sujeong-gu, Seongnam in the Gyeonggi province of South Korea. He reportedly found her dead on the second floor of her home at around 3:20pm.

Fans have been commenting on her Instagram and tweeting their sadness since the news broke this morning. Many of them have been alluding to the lack of support she had from the public both during her time in the band and throughout the backlash she received when she decided to take a break from the group in 2014.

Sulli took a hiatus from f(x) in 2014 following a barrage of online abuse. Initially the hiatus was due to be for one year, but instead, one year later Sulli made the decision to leave the band altogether and focus on her acting career.

In the past, she has spoken about struggling with mental health problems, telling fans in a post on Instagram that she had panic disorder and social phobia. In the post, which was a teaser trailer for her reality show, Jinri Store, Sulli detailed some of her struggles, "Even close people left me. I was hurt by them and felt there was nobody who understands me, which made me fall apart." The post has since been taken down.

Police have yet to release more details surrounding her death.
