Kang Ha-neul joins "To Beautiful You"

11 Jun– It was revealed that actors Kang Ha-neul and Lee Hyun-woo has been cast in the upcoming Korean version of Japanese "Hanazakari no Kimitachie"; "To Beautiful You".

According to Korea.com, after SHINee's Min-ho and f(x)' Sulli's confirmation to play the lead role, and ZE:A's Kwang-hee to play a supporting character, "Gye-baek" actor Lee Hyun-woo and "You're my Pet" star Kang Ha-neul will also be joining the cast.

The Japanese manga adaptation tells the story of a gold-medal-winning pole jumper named Kang Tae-jun (Min-ho) whose career is in a slump because of an injury. Meanwhile, a girl named Goo Jae-hee (Sulli) disguised herself as a boy to enter Kang Tae-jun's all-boys school in order to help him revive his career.

Produced by SM Entertainment, "To Beautiful You" will be directed by "Boys over Flowers" director Jeon Gi-sang and written by Lee Young-chul. Other cast include "Deep Rooted Tree" actor Seo Jun-young, Lee Han-wi, Kang Kyung-joon and Ki Tae-young, as well as actresses Ahn Hye-kyung, Go So-young, Kim Ji-won, Lee Ah-yeon, Honey Lee and Lee Youn-geun.

The drama is slated to air later this year.
