Karnataka reports marginal increase in Influenza, Viral fever cases

Bengaluru, Sep 15 (ANI): Karnataka Health Minister Dr Sudhakar K on September 15 said that the state has reported a marginal increase in Influenza and Viral fever cases. “ILI (Influenza-Like Illness) kind of infection is witnessed during monsoon every year. This year also we are witnessing it. We are closely watching and taking inputs from private and government hospitals,” said Health Minister Sudhakar. “People having ILI like symptoms are subjected to COVID test as well - 99.5% of people have tested negative for it. So, from COVID perspective, we are relieved. But definitely, we are watchful and taking all necessary precautionary measures,” he added.
