If we've learnt one thing about the royals in recent weeks, it's that Kate Middleton is a strict teacher. The Duchess of Cambridge and husband Prince William have been busy home-schooling Prince George and Princess Charlotte throughout the coronavirus pandemic, and Kate recently admitted that she's been relying on structure - so much so, that she kept teaching even during the Easter holidays.

"Don’t tell the children, we’ve actually kept it going through the holidays – I feel very mean!" the future Queen told Tina Deheley in a recent interview. "But yeah, it’s just having that bit of structure. And it’s great, there’s so many great tips online and fun activities that you can do with the children, so it hasn’t been all hardcore."

And so used to their new routine are they, that they may not send Princess Charlotte back to St Thomas' Battersea when the school reopens in June. According to the Sunday Times, the school is expected to follow government guidance and only bring back reception, year 1, and year 6. Charlotte is in reception, but George is in year 2, so he won't be heading back just yet.

However, it's thought Charlotte will continue to be taught at home, and the siblings will return to school at the same time later in the year.

Still, it's not as though things run entirely smoothly at home. During a recent call with BBC Breakfast, the duchess admitted: "George gets very upset because he wants to do Charlotte’s projects. Because making things like spider sandwiches is far cooler than doing literacy work.”

I'm sure lots of parents can relate!
