Kate Middleton may be the Princess of Wales, but she's certainly also earned her title as the Queen of Winter Fashion. Earlier today, the stylish royal looked fresh as ever in a casual yet chic ensemble at Landau Forte College Derby, where she met with Captain Preet Chandi MBE in her home city to celebrate the Army officer's return from her solo expedition across Antarctica.

Nailing the winter white trend, Kate opted for an ecru double-breasted textured blazer from Zara, which originally retailed for $100 but is now on sale for $30. She wore the crisp topper over a white shirt and paired it with blue jeans and her signature white and gold Veja Esplar sneakers ($150).

During the event in Derby—which was aimed at inspiring young students—the Princess of Wales got to show off her athletic side and take part in various Antarctic survival techniques, including attempting to pull two tires, weighing approximately 44 pounds, while attached to a harness.

“Captain Chandi has been a huge inspiration to me and it’s been great to see her journey and what she has been able to achieve in the year she has been working towards this incredible goal," Kate addressed the youngsters at one point. “I really hope it inspires you all to believe in yourself, to push boundaries and to really work on your own resilience because there are such strong messages that really help support your emotional and mental wellbeing.”

Kate became a patron of Captain Chandi's challenge at the end of October. The Derby native departed in November and recently broke the world record for the furthest unsupported solo polar expedition to Antarctica, covering 922 miles in 70 days and 16 hours. The previous world record of 907 miles was set by fellow soldier Henry Worsley in 2015.
