Kate Middleton and Prince William Share Hilarious Photo Of Prince Harry Running Away From Them

Prince William and Kate Middleton have shared a funny photograph of Prince Harry sprinting away from them to celebrate his 36th birthday.

On Tuesday, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge took to Twitter to post an amusing photo of the Duke of Sussex beating them in a running race at an event in London in 2017 to pay tribute to the London Marathon and their mental health organisation, Heads Together.

‘Wishing a very happy birthday to Prince Harry today!' the tweet reads.

The image is rather comical given Prince Harry’s decision to step down as a senior member of the royal family in March and move to California with his wife, Meghan Markle, and son, Archie.

The Queen paid tribute to her grandson on his birthday via social media, too, sharing a message alongside a photo of him smiling at a Buckingham Palace reception in 2017.

Meanwhile, Prince Charles chose to share a photograph of him laughing with his son at the Invictus Games in 2014 and another photo of the 36-year-old.

It’s unknown how Prince Harry will celebrate his birthday on Tuesday, but it’s likely he will spend the day privately with his wife and son at their Montecito, Santa Barbara home.

His birthday marks his first away from the royal family since stepping away from 'the Firm', as its commonly referred to.

Days before his big day, the couple signed a multi-million-pound deal with the steaming platform Netflix and paid back the £2.4million that was spent renovating Frogmore Cottage.

In recent weeks, the couple have been active on virtual conference calls and have subtly showed off their new home, with its grand fireplace, outhouse and sprawling lawns.

The couple were last seen in the UK together at a Commonwealth service at Westminster Abbey in London on March 9.

Prince Harry recently revealed his plans to return to the UK later this year were scuppered due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

‘I would have been back already had it not been for Covid, so don’t worry,’ he told members of the Rugby Football League, of which he is a patron, via video call to commemorate the League’s 125th anniversary.
