Kate Middleton Wows in Powder Blue Duster Blazer While Visiting Her Portrait

From bold red jackets to pale yellow gowns, Kate Middleton has proven that she can pull off any color. So of course, it comes as no surprise that the duchess is now turning heads with her latest powder blue ensemble.

Middleton and her husband, Prince William, recently visited the University of Cambridge's Fitzwilliam Museum to witness the unveiling of their first joint portrait—a piece that was painted by award-winning British artist Jamie Coreth. And while the duke donned a navy suit with a light blue shirt, Middleton color-coordinated with her husband by stepping out in a blossom-print LK Bennett Madison dress. She paired the dress with a matching blazer and blue heels by Emmy London, accessorizing her monochromatic ensemble with a blue clutch bag and aquamarine drop earrings.

The original LK Bennett dress, which has pale blue, red and lavender hues, is unfortunately no longer available to purchase. However, the brand did release another version of the stylish dress, called Elowen. Though the Blue Animal Print Midi Dress is already sold out, there are still limited quantities of the pink variation, now available for $540. (FYI, ASOS also offers a similar style for just $64.)

After viewing the painting, Middleton and Prince William met with Coreth, as well as Lady Sibyl Marshall, wife of the late Sir Michael Marshall, who proposed the idea to create the joint portrait.

Coreth said in a statement, "It has been the most extraordinary privilege of my life to be chosen to paint this picture. I wanted to show Their Royal Highnesses in a manner where they appeared both relaxed and approachable, as well as elegant and dignified."

He continued, "I wanted the image to evoke a feeling of balance between their public and private lives. The piece was commissioned as a gift for the people of Cambridgeshire, and I hope they will enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed creating it."

We'll be keeping an eye out for even more of Middleton's best fashion moments.
