Let's face it: there's a lot about the royals (and even ex-royals, to be honest) that feels totally unattainable and unrelatable.

Like, did we mention that the Queen has... never eaten pizza? And that Meghan had to participate in a staged kidnapping before becoming a Duchess? It's wild, guys.

Sure, the lives of the Duchesses sometimes feel a little closer to home when they step out high street fashion (plus, Meghan has already begun leaning into more casual Cali vibes with her hair and makeup choices). But it's hard to shake the feeling that all that glamour and gloss is probably preeeeeetty expensive to achieve.

However, that's not always true. Case in point: K-Mid's super shiny hair.

So yes, fine, her honey blonde hair, complete with exquisite halo highlights is down to teams of people and talented celebrity hairdressers.

...But here's the thing - if you know what those insiders use to amp up the shine, hair-health and volume, you can often replicate that K-Mid glossiness and those beachy waves at home for a fraction of the cost.

And the tool behind it all? Ladies, gentlemen, and hair-enthusiasts beyond the binary: it's a detangling brush.

Here's the thing - Kate's hairdresser Richard Ward's been publicly evangelical about his Tangle Angel since 2016 when he first started explaining its part in crafting Kate Middleton's gorgeous blow-dries, originally in an interview with People.

Of course, flattening the cuticles of the hair shaft with a great hairdryer and / or straighteners will always add the illusion of shine to your hair. But long story short, shiny, bouncy blow-dries are also all about keeping the shaft of the hair super healthy and free of breakage.

Such damage to the strands often occurs through heavy-handed brushing. So, the Tangle Angel helps avoid this by making detangling super easy, protecting strands and keeping shine locked down. The original will set you back around £12-13, but you can grab an on-the-go version for under a tenner.

It's a personal creation of Richard's own, it's safe to say that it's very likely to play a continued part in any of the gorgeous hairstyles he is responsible for creating.

Of course, heat protection sprays and hair masks are also an important part of hair health maintenance, so it's worth finding a fave within your budget in that respect too.

Don't mind me, I'll just be sitting here waiting for my own Tangle Angel to arrive so I can begin my hair's own personal ascent into royalty.
