Kate Middleton's Parents Show Their Support at Her 2024 Christmas Carol Service
The Middleton family were out in full force for Kate Middleton's fourth annual Christmas Carol service tonight.
Kate's parents Carole and Michael Middleton arrived at Westminster Abbey to support their daughter for her beloved festive event. The Middleton matriarch looked lovely in a cream coat dress which she paired with dark accessories.
The Princess of Wales's younger siblings were also there for the happy occasion. Kate's sister, Pippa Middleton, wore a black boucle tweed dress with a red velvet clutch and matching pumps. Their brother James Middleton, arrived with his wife, Alizee Thevnet, who opted for a lush navy suit with an oversized white bow. Both James and Thevent missed last year's Christmas carol service. likely due to the then-recent birth of their son, Inigo.
This year's Christmas carol service, formally known as "Together At Christmas," is an especially meaningful one for Kate after announcing her cancer diagnosis and undergoing preventative chemotherapy for most of the year. The Princess of Wales announced in September that she officially completed her treatment and has since been making more and more appearances at engagements. (Earlier this week, she joined Prince William, as well as King Charles and Queen Camilla, to greet Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and his first wife Sheikha Jawaher for their State Visit to Britain.)
According to Kensington Palace, Kate's Christmas carol concert provides guests with "a moment to reflect upon the importance of love and empathy, and how much we need each other, especially in the most difficult times of our lives
The palace added that the Princess of Wales "wanted to celebrate the many people supporting those in need – individuals who have inspired, counselled, comforted, and above all else shown that love is the greatest gift we can receive. This theme takes inspiration from the Christmas story which encourages us to consider the experiences of others and the important human need of giving and receiving empathy."
