In an interview for the October issue of Vogue, the star opened up about being told she was 'wrong' shape.

“I was consistently told I was the wrong shape,” she said. “I was consistently told I would have to settle for less.”

But Kate - who has been nominated for seven Oscars, winning in 2009 for The Reader, and has won five BAFTAs, five Golden Globes, four SAG awards, and two Emmys - revealed that she hasn't let body-shaming hold her back from carving out success.

“I know better than to waste precious energy on criticizing my physical self,” she said. “I think any woman is better off just saying: I believe in myself. It doesn’t matter what other people think; this is who I am—let’s get on with it.”

Sky Cinema has announced that production on Lee is currently underway, with Kate set to star as famed Vogue model turned war correspondent Lee Miller.

Stills from the film see Winslet trade high fashion for a war zone as the leading lady, who during World War II, captured events such as the London Blitz and the liberation of Paris, as well as photographing the horrors inside concentration camps Buchenwald and Dachau.

She will be joined by Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Andy Samberg as Life Magazine photographer David E. Scherman as well as Infinity Pool actor Alexander Skarsgård playing English Surrealist painter, photographer, poet, and biographer Roland Penrose.
