Katherine Schwarzenegger is one proud mama.

The author, 32, took to Instagram on Saturday to celebrate the second birthday of Lyla, her daughter with husband Chris Pratt. Schwarzenegger posted photo of Lyla with arms outstretched running down a hallway toward her smiling mother, who reached out to embrace her.

"My baby’s birthday! I can’t believe we have a 2 year old. The greatest joy of my life, the one who made me a mama, the deepest love I’ve ever known; this girl is my love filled joy bubble," wrote Schwarzenegger, who added in a lion emoji, reminiscent of her daughter's curly blond hair. "In true leo fashion we’ve been celebrating all month and will continue to."

Clearly, celebrations were gearing up at the family's home. Schwarzenegger shared in her Instagram Story that she was making a birthday cake for Layla.

"Need Maria Shriver over here to bake her cake for Lyla!" Schwarzenegger wrote alongside a photo of Betty Crocker cake mix and several containers of frosting. "Next generation tradition continues!"

Schwarzenegger — who welcomed her second child, a daughter named Eloise, back in May — previously discussed how she and her husband delve up the household duties. Pratt is the chef of the house, cooking up delectable meals for her and their daughter Lyla. (Pratt also has an 9-year-old son, Jack, from his previous marriage to Anna Faris.)

"He cooks and I'm very grateful. He does all the cooking in our house and he's very, very good at it," Schwarzenegger previously told Yahoo Life. "He makes really great breakfast, especially as my daughter has gotten older and is able to have different foods, she also loves his breakfast."

But it's not just cooking that Pratt takes part in. During an appearance on the The Ellen DeGeneres Show last year, Pratt shared that he even joins in on the breastfeeding portion, by helping Schwarzenegger express her breast milk.

"You have to get rid of some of it or else it gets a little clogged," Pratt told Degeneres. "You have to express the milk. I do that at home now with Katherine. And I say, 'Hey, Jack, get over here.' ...Yeah, we have fun with that."

Throughout their parenting journey together, Schwarzenegger and Pratt have frequently expressed their adoration for each other. Last month at the Los Angeles premiere of Jurassic World Dominion, Pratt shared that Schwarzenegger, who is the daughter of Maria Shriver and Arnold Schwarzenegger, is as maternal as it gets.

"Katherine just has the most amazing maternal instincts," Pratt told Live From E!. "She just really knows what to do. I'll follow her lead."

Schwarzenegger frequently voices her love of her husband, as well. Back in June, the mom of two called Pratt "the most loving father" in an Instagram post celebrating his birthday.

"I feel like the luckiest in the world to life life with you. You’re the most loving father, the most supportive partner and you have the biggest heart and we are so blessed to feel and witness your love. Happy happy handsome," she wrote alongside a photo of her spouse.
