Katsina United must keep the momentum going, says Ashadi

The Chanji Boys’ top official has affirmed that the significant changes are to ensure they are more stable next season

Katsina United midfielder Destiny Ashadi has urged his teammates to keep up the intensity that they have shown in their last two matches.

The club has secured two points on the road in their last two matches at Niger Tornadoes and Lobi Stars respectively in the Nigeria Professional Football League.

United currently sit 13th in the NPFL table with nine points from a possible 21.

"It was a huge team effort against Lobi Stars and once we stepped to the pitch you could see how much the players wanted it," Ashadi told Goal.

"We want to back up last weekend's result with a win at home to Shooting Stars and we don't really need any motivation coming into the game. We have to think about the next assignment. It's a cliche, but it's what we do.

"The intensity we've shown in the last two matches is our benchmark now and we have to build from here and try to keep pushing up the table."

Katsina United return to action on Sunday when they entertain Shooting Stars at the Mohammodou Dikko Stadium.
